Here’s a little pet peeve of mine when teaching new bloggers. They refer to posts as “blogs”.

I’m not sure why, but that just makes my skin crawl.

As a former forumite, that’s just as bad as calling posts ‘threads’. :D

I usually call them posts, but I sometimes use the term ‘bloggings’ (eg: “search for recent bloggings”) for some reason. Not sure why! There must be some similar word I’ve come across that inspired me to use it when I first started out.

I call them posts, but sometimes use the verb that I “blogged” it.

I like words and language so I always try to use them as specifically as possible. Can’t say I always succeed, but is worth the efort IMHO…
