Comments on: My TweetBacks WordPress Plugin

I loved the plugin, but found that it bloated my WP_Option table. It's full of Tweetbacks_mutex entries. Its gotten so big that it is affecting performance and upgrade issues. I uninstalled and cleaned up, but it did not clear out the SQL table.

How do I flush out these entries?

So, there are TWO different WP Tweetback Plug-ins, created by TWO different people? And installing one gives a mssg that it (meaning the other) is available for an update? My head is spinning, LOL. Again.. HALP?

I installed, activated, and enabled Tweetbacks. Each post nows shows 100 random tweets, not at all relevant to the post, much less linked to it.

Also installed it on another blog, with a more updated WP but not the current version, and there was an option to upgrade, which I did before seeing that the “other” didn’t have that option. Once I upgraded, there was no option to enable and it looked different from the “other” one.

Installed the tweetbacks WP plugin, then see an option to appy an upgrade, which turns out to be the WP plugin from Yoast. Huh?

Loving this.. Is is possible to modify the JS version so that we can specify a Div to fill? Right now, putting the JS inline on the page really slows down pageload.. I’ld rather put an empty container on the page & put the JS at the bottom of the page.. That way the whole content loads, and then the TweetBacks/TweetStats fill in later.

I managed to get the tweetbacks showing on my site, but they’re just bundled in with other comments, rather than separated as you’ve got them here.

Any suggestions on what additional formatting I might need to do?

Also would it be possible to edit out your own tweets (I don’t normally tweet myself but was trying to get contributions for something today which meant I had to)

LOVE this idea, glad someone thought of it.

I tried the plug in as well as just entering the script (beneath my author box and above comments), nothing shows up.

I keep seeing that you have to go to “Settings –> Tweetbacks” to enable it but the only option I have there is to clean up the Twitter DB. I don’t see anything that says “Enable”.

awesome wordpress plugin Dan!

would be great if it had COLLAPSIBLE comments similar to Facebook comments on your wall after it reach 5+ comments/tweetbacks. This way if the blog post goes super viral you dont have to scroll for 5 minutes to get to the comments of a post.
